Kennel Alekri now also offers training together with the Spaniel Club. We run with teams spring and autumn, and winter training in a forest area at Præstø. Puppy training is on Wednesdays and Obedience (Family- and hunting dog) on Thursdays. The training will be for Spaniels, But we will also bring in other dogs to fill up the teams. We only train according to positive methods and the most important thing is, Getting in touch with your puppy/dog. If you don't have contact, you can't train; obedience, Hunting, track or what you're thinking of working on. We train here in our own fenced area and will finish training with cozy togetherness over a cup of coffee. On site, only the dogs will train. Puppy training is primarily for puppies/dogs from approx. 12 weeks to 6 MDR. Obedience/hunting training is from 5-6 months and up. Depending on how many dogs are coming and what level they are at, we will divide into smaller groups and train in these small groups. We will always strive to train in groups of 3-5 puppies/dogs. We are currently 3 permanent coaches as well as an assistant. We have several years of experience as coaches at the Spaniel club and completed various coaching trainings, most recently as a hunting dog instructor at the Danish Hunters' Association. The team training takes place in collaboration with Spanielklubben, the Capital Region of Denmark and Central Zealand. We also offer private lessons where there is full focus on your particular dog. Kennel Alekri now also offers trimming of your dog. I trim everyday with machine and scissors, The dog will still be with long tabs (We can, of course, talk about length) and look like it “shell” if it is to be exhibited;. It is important that your dog can be handled and that it is brushed well when you bring it. Practice standing quietly on a table with lots of treats, Cuddle and talk first. Next, you can make cutting sounds with ordinary scissors, See teeth, hold on to it a little/demand a little more and finally you can practice with a razor or similar, So it learns the sound of a machine and is comfortable with it.
