When we have puppies I always start with to get them to come up on the trim table and be “made through” (There are not so many tabs on a 7 week old puppy), make rock sounds with scissors by your ears and keeps the machine to them, so they can sniff and hear the sound. If you maintain this, It is so much easier to comb and trim your dog. You may want to use a razor to make the same sound as the trimmer. I have several of my own breeding coming and will be trimmed but also completely alien Knights. All are super cute, patient and easy to handle. I've never met one like bed or snarled – Some may prefer to start with. But then helps NP and gives a great many goodies, and so it is no problem to be on the table.
